A note from our MD
Mazda Motors UK began operations in August 2001, taking over Mazda sales and service operations from the previous independent importer. In 2001, Mazda sold around 16,000 cars in the UK and employed around 50 staff. We have since grown to over 50,000 vehicles per year, employ more than 100 people and have increased our market share in every year since 2001.
Key to our success has been the development of our internal talent. All of our Senior Directors were promoted from within. Prior to my appointment as Managing Director on 1 October 2008, I held the role of Sales Director at Mazda UK for three years. Prior to that, I fulfilled the positions of Marketing Director (2003 - 2005) and Fleet Director (2001 - 2003). Two former Managing Directors of Mazda Motors UK are now the President and Vice President of Sales respectively for Mazda Europe.

Take our regular Employee Days, where we share past successes, discuss future goals and have fun letting off steam together. We've been endurance carting at Buckmore Park, sailing in Port Solent, sledging in the Snow Zone not to mention treasure hunting around London and we enjoyed a nautical challenge at Chatham Docks.
We also hold 'Zoom-Zoom' Dealer, Fleet customer and press events. Here you can see me attending one of our recent Fleet events and trying out another Zoom-Zoom mode of transport.
Our culture is represented in our achievements as an employer. Mazda UK has recently been re-accredited with Investors in People status. We are very proud of the learning and development opportunities offered to our team.
My time at Mazda UK since 2001 has been the most enjoyable and rewarding period of my career and I am really proud to work for this company.
