The Mazda3 comes with a range of active safety features to help you cope with the unexpected, including Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Traction Control System (TCS) (standard on 1.6 and 2.0 Sport models). Take the seatbelt reminder panel. This helps you monitor your passengers' safety, by giving an audio-visual warning if anyone is not wearing their seatbelt.

Inside the car, driver and passenger safety is further maintained by a combination of protective measures. These include a seat belt reminder, an airbag system with driver and front passenger airbags, side airbags, front seat belt pre-tensioners, a reinforced rear seat frame and a collapsible steering column. In addition, ISOFIX anchors are fitted in both sides of the rear seat so you can swiftly and securely install child seats.

Protecting your property

All models are fitted with a Thatcham Category 1 alarm and immobiliser system. Its advanced sensor arrangement can detect intrusion through the windows, as well as other areas of the car.
