Integral body strength is provided by Mazda’s Advanced Impact Distribution and Absorption System (MAIDAS), while stability comes from the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD).

Inside the car, safety is maintained by a combination of measures including six airbags: driver and front passenger, front side, plus front and rear curtain airbags.

There is also a seat belt reminder, front seat belt pre-tensioners, a reinforced rear seat frame and a collapsible steering column. In addition, ISOFIX anchors are fitted in both sides of the rear seat so you can swiftly and securely install child seats.
