An innovative package
Comfortable, conversational and communicative, the Mazda5 offers one of travel's more enjoyable journeys – for up to seven people at a time who can choose to take advantage of some of the innovative features.
Plug your MP3 player into the auxiliary jack in the front console which enables you to and take your favourite driving playlist with you. Hear it through either four or six speakers throughout your car. A CD player (with MP3) is available on TS and TS2 models and a 6-CD autochanger is available on both Sport and Sport Nav models. Volume controls are literally at your fingertips on the steering wheel (from TS2 upwards).
If your mobile phone has Bluetooth equipped, the Sport and Sport Nav models have hands-free voice activated controls. Voice recognition enables you to operate by voice command and convenient steering wheel switch. The Mazda5’s audio system is linked to the phone, muting whatever is playing in order to broadcast the caller’s voice through the audio speaker.
Ideal driving position
The cockpit is arranged so that nothing gets in the way of total driving enjoyment. The seat and steering wheel are adaptable and versatile; the gear stick is central and elevated for ease of use.
With one of the best height ranges in its class, the seat is highly adjustable, as is the steering wheel. Visibility is excellent, meaning fewer blind spots and safer, less stressful driving.
Cruise control is now standard on the Sport and Sport Nav models offering the driver the ability to set his speed with the system taking over the throttle.
Navigation monitor
Monitor the view behind your Mazda5 thanks to the rear-view parking camera, which is available with the DVD satellite navigation 7" touch screen system that is standard on the Sport Nav model. The rear view is displayed on the navigation monitor in front of you when you shift into reverse. Parking in a tight spot has never been easier.
Pleasant atmosphere
Housed in the sleek instrument panel, at the top of an elevated centre stack, the air conditioning system is easy to reach and operate. TS and TS2 models feature air conditioning and Sport and Sport Nav models feature climate control air conditioning. In the rear cabin, tinted privacy glass (standard on Sport and Sport Nav models) will help to keep passengers cool and glare-free in the sunniest weather.
