Passenger safety

With its five-star Euro NCAP rating for adult occupation protection, the Mazda5 offers peace of mind for all passengers.

The integrated airbag system features six airbags - including front and side airbags for the driver and first row passenger and curtain airbags for all three rows.

Front row seat belts have pre-tensioners and load limiters for further protection, while all seven are three point seatbelts for better safety. There is a seatbelt reminder driver and the front passenger.

Extra child protection comes with ISOFIX seat anchors for 2nd row outer seats. Child seats are quick and easy to install and won't tip forward in the event of a collision thanks to the tether function.

Rear LED lights

The Mazda5 features the LED rear lamps on the Sport and Sport Nav models. These not only enhance the look of the rear but vastly increase visibility, reducing the risk of collisions. The LED lights also give faster warning of deceleration and are more energy efficient than other bulbs.

Driver assistance

A four-wheel Antilock Braking System (4W-ABS) with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) is standard on all Mazda5 vehicles. Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) and Traction Control systems are standard on our Sport and Sport Nav models and offer added control on slippery surfaces.

Security measures

A Thatcham Category 1 alarm and immobiliser system comes as standard on all Mazda5 models helping you to deter unwanted attention.
