Mazda named 'Best Car Manufacturer' at 2014 Which? awards


Mazda was named 'Best Car Manufacturer' at the prestigious 2014 Which? awards ceremony held at Kings Place in London. The awards are allocated to those companies that consistently get it right for consumers. Launched in 2007, the annual Which? awards aim to celebrate the very best businesses in the UK. This year, Mazda was one of 11 winners, each recognised as the leader in their respective field.


Which? writes: "Mazda is a worthy winner with more than two thirds of its cars rated as best buys and scored well with owners for reliability and satisfaction.


"The Mazda3 offers a winning combination of fuel economy, style and driving enjoyment. The Mazda6, launched in 2013, continues to impress us with a premium car feel at a non-premium price."

Auto Express New Car Awards - Best Family Car


For the second year in a row, the Mazda6 saloon beat off strong competition to win the 'Best Family Car' award at the annual Auto Express New Car Awards held at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London


Announcing Mazda6 as a repeat award winner, Auto Express editor-in-chief, Steve Fowler, commented: "The Mazda6 saloon remains the best family car by some margin. Its sharp styling will turn heads and if you get a glimpse inside, you'll see a driver grinning from ear-to-ear - this is a fantastic car to drive. Scottish Car of the year 2013


The Mazda6, which features fuel-saving SKYACTIV Technology, has won the 2013 Eco Car Award at the annual Scottish Car of the Year (SCOTY) awards ceremony.


ASMW President Alisdair Suttie commented: "Who said saving money has to be dull? Not us, and this year's eco award winner disproves this assumption completely. The new Mazda6 demonstrates that frugality doesn't mean having to compromise on space, comfort and practicality, or any of the other attributes that make up the ideal family transport."

The Mazda6 has been recognised for its outstanding design by the world’s largest design competition, the ‘red dot design award”.


Initiated in 1955 by the Germany-based Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, the red dot design award is one of the world’s largest design competitions. Prizes are granted for product design, design concept and communication design.
