Benefits
As a non-hierarchal organisation, we are all entitled to the same benefits. The only benefit that improves depending on your level within the organisation is the number of company cars you are entitled to.
All employees choose any car from our range (within some insurance policy restrictions). We can choose what level of BUPA cover we receive and we all get the same number of holidays.
We know that employees who feel valued and motivated are essential to our success. Knowing that your salary is competitive is a big part of this. Mazda conducts regular salary surveys and market research to ensure that our salaries are competitive.
Our annual salary awards are related to our Mazda Performance Management process (MPM) and any increase in salary is related to your performance. Therefore, the more you contribute the more your salary could increase.
At Mazda your future is secure. After successfully completing your 3 month probationary period, you are invited to join the Company Group Pension Scheme with Scottish Equitable.
You choose how much you want to put in and the company doubles the amount up to a maximum of 10%.
Everyone at Mazda Motors UK is entitled to a company car and some positions are entitled to two.
You can choose any car, subject to some insurance-related age restrictions. So the MD's PA could have the same car as the MD if she wanted.
Field-based roles are entitled to a company car in addition to a job car (some restrictions on availability apply). New employees who are entitled to two cars have their first car waiting for them from day one.
Those who are entitled to one car have to pass their probation prior to receiving their car.
We have a generous annual leave entitlement to ensure a healthy work/life balance. Employees are entitled to 26 days' annual holiday.
The offices close at Christmas, so 3 or 4 days of your entitlement (dependent on when Christmas falls) must be set aside to cover this period.
You can request up to three weeks' leave at any one time and carry a maximum of 5 days forward into a new leave year.
Extra days are awarded in relation to length of service.
Our company Life Assurance Policy, which is four times your annual salary, covers you from your first day.
This policy is totally funded by Mazda Motors UK.
Mazda offers all employees a Childcare Voucher Scheme, which is a government initiative to help parents with their childcare costs through a salary sacrifice agreement.
You can sacrifice an agreed amount of your salary in return for childcare vouchers. The vouchers are paid into the scheme's managing company (care-4) where an account is set up in the employees' name. The vouchers can then be used to credit a carer.
The salary paid into your account is at a 'gross level', so no tax or national insurance is payable.
Following completion of your 3 month probationary period, you are invited to join the private health care scheme managed by BUPA under single, married or family status - it's your choice.
After 3 months, you (and your family) may also join the scheme for BUPA Leisure travel insurance. Both medical and travel insurance schemes have a Benefit in Kind (BIK) tax implication.
From day one, all employees receive insurance cover for business travel with BUPA.
