Tips and hints

When you apply for a job with us, we want to get a good idea of your full potential. Follow these basic tips to ensure that the recruitment process is a positive and stress-free experience.

1) Do your research

Learn everything you can about Mazda and, if possible, the precise role that interests you. Think about the job requirements and ask yourself if your skills and experience are a good match.

Thorough preparation puts you in a strong position at the assessment centre and interview stages.

2) Tailor your CV

Your CV is your first opportunity to stand out from other applicants. So, concentrate on getting the content right. See your CV as a marketing tool that can 'sell' your suitability for the job. Tailor it to highlight your relevant skills, as a generic CV is unlikely to do this.

3) Relax and be yourself

The assessment centre is your chance to shine and to demonstrate the qualities that you highlighted in your CV.

We know that nerves are natural but try to relax and be yourself as much as possible. Remember, we want to see confidence and the ability to keep a level head under pressure.

If you think you've made a mistake or not performed to your potential at any time, don't dwell on it. The advantage of a full day is that you can make up for it later.

Concentrate on how to demonstrate your skills and abilities - we're not looking for you to compete against the other candidates.
