What is the Motability Car Scheme?

The Motability Scheme offers disabled people who receive the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS) a brand new car every 3 years. Motability's worry-free car lease package also includes:

  • Insurancemazda motability car scheme
  • Servicing and maintenance
  • Full RAC breakdown assistance
  • Annual car tax
  • Replacement tyres
  • Windscreen replacement
  • Many adaptations at no extra cost
  • 60,000 mileage allowance over 3 year lease

You don't even need to be able to drive as you can nominate up to two drivers as part of your lease.

No credit checks

As long as you have at least 12 months' award left on your allowance, simply exchange all or part of your higher rate mobility allowance (currently £46.75 per week for DLA and £52.25 per week for WPMS), and you could be driving away a brand new car very soon.

With 500,000 customers choosing the Motability Car Scheme to maximise their mobility, why not ask your local Mazda dealer about leasing a car from Motability.

    Mazda's Involvement with Motability

Mazda Motors UK Ltd has been a partner to the Motability Car Scheme since 2002, and with over 75 Mazda cars available through the Scheme, you're sure to find a model to suit your every need.

Every 3 months Mazda agree prices with Motability and offer a price guarantee. That means when you order your car you secure the current price, even if the price changes before you collect your new car. Some cars are available for no more than the cost of your allowance, however, to widen your choice of cars, you can pay what is called an Advance Payment. Advance payments are non-refundable and made to your dealer at the start of your lease. An Advance Payment is simply the difference between your higher rate mobility allowance and the overall cost of your chosen car over its 3 year lease.

With over 150 Mazda dealerships supplying the Motability Scheme nationwide, there's bound to be one close to you. And in each of our participating dealerships you'll find a Motability-trained specialist ready to answer your questions.

If you require assistance to make driving easier, your Mazda dealer will also be able to help you organise specialist adaptations directly with the adaptation installer so that when you collect your car, it's perfectly suited to your needs.
