While many competitor cars are becoming heavier we’ve gone the other way, reducing the weight by 100kg. It’s what we call our gram strategy. We’ve used new materials and technology to make it safer as well as lighter. So you can enjoy a better driving performance without compromising on economy.


Road handling is more agile – and effortless with electronic power steering. And a lighter car accelerates and brakes more quickly. The 1.3-litre 84ps petrol engine does 0-62mph  in 13.6 seconds. Impressive for a small car that’s saving you fuel too.

As part of our gram strategy of making lighter cars we’ve reduced the weight of the body shell and chassis by almost 40kg. This huge weight reduction makes the road handling more responsive and agile. And there’s no decrease in safety or strength. In fact, the collision performance has improved because we’ve made the body shell from ultra-high tensile steel. So we’ve enhanced your driving experience – and your safety.
