Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) works with the Anti-lock Braking System to reduce engine power and regulate braking in critical driving situations - particularly impactful in the event of high-speed emergency avoidance manoeuvres to maiintain traction and stability.

The Mazda3 includes adaptive brake lights in the form of an Emergency Stop Signalling (ESS) system. This automatically activates the hazard warning lights when the ABS sensors detect severe emergency braking at over 30mph, reducing the likelihood of rear-end collisions.

A total of six airbags offer outstanding levels of occupant protection. Driver and front passenger airbags, side airbags and curtain airbags all help to prevent occupant injury in the event of an accident. Active front head restraints minimise the risk of whiplash-related injury, while a collapsible brake pedal and steering column protect the driver in frontal collisions.

The Mazda3 also features ISOFIX child seat preparation to ensure that not only are adults protected, but the little ones are safe and sound too.
