Discover a sense of fun

Sure-footed, responsive and nimble around city streets, Mazda2’s driving dynamics will always put a smile on your face. And you’ll also appreciate the ride comfort and straight-line stability on motorways.

SKYACTIV Technology combines excellent environmental performance with advanced safety technology – inspiring confidence wherever you go.

Smart City Brake Support System

Take the stress out of city driving thanks to our Smart City Brake Support (SCBS) system.

Built-in sensors continually monitor the distance and closing speed to the car in front, if it detects that a low-speed collision (operating at speeds up to 20mph) is likely SCBS primes the brakes for an emergency stop. If necessary, it’ll brake automatically for you to prevent or minimise the effects of low-speed collisions (standard from 90ps SE-L and 105ps SE-L Diesel models).

      Active Driving Display

Keeps you updated on essential real-time driving information, including speed, turn-by-turn navigation and safety system warnings.

The head-up display is positioned on top of the meter hood, so information is projected into your line of sight. To avoid information overload, the Active Driving Display will only display up to three items of information at any one time (Active Driving Display is available as part of the optional Safety Pack on 115ps Sport Nav models).

Enjoy precise, smooth and fast gearshifts, for a sporty performance. We’ve taken our acclaimed SKYACTIV-DRIVE automatic transmission and made it lighter and more compact for Mazda2.

The result is improved fuel economy, more direct power and so much fun to drive that it almost feels like a manual - our smallest automatic transmission delivers on all fronts. (Image not to UK specification)

    • Advanced Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM) system

      Blind Spot Monitoring

Mazda2 sees things even if you can’t - acting like another pair of eyes. That’s because its BSM system uses sensors to scan for vehicles in adjacent lanes from as far away as 50 metres. If a vehicle is approaching and you indicate to change lanes, it warns you with audible alarm and flashing door mirror indicators. It even includes the Rear Cross Traffic Alert to monitor blind spots when the car is reversing (part of the optional Safety Pack on 115ps Sport Nav models).
